FIDAL’S STREET COACHES IN PAREDES FOR THE FINAL RUSH OF THE EUROPEAN PROJECT “GEOLAB”

The final event of GeoLAB will be held in Paredes (Portugal) from 1 to 4 December, the last stage of the European tour of the Street Coaches and the occasion to present the project results.

 

PAREDES – Paredes (Portugal) is one of the partners of the GeoLAB Project, a city that, in terms of sports development, promotes and pursues public policies for a healthy and active lifestyle and invests in the “sport for all” approach.  Here, from 1 to 4 December, the final event of the GeoLAB Project will take place, an event that will include both seminars and moments dedicated to sport activity as part of the “March of Solidarity and Inclusion”. For FIDAL, project leader, it will also be an opportunity to present the results of the project and propose the strategy of replicability and sustainability.

The three-days program in Paredes is full of important moments.  The “GeoLAB Project Final Conference” seminar to be held in  the morning of December 2 at  the Paredes Sport Center,  will feature speeches by  Renato Almeida, Councillor for Sport at the Municipality of Paredes,  Marco Pietrogiacomi, Head of FIDAL territories,  Alcídio Jesus from the Portuguese Institute for Sport and Youth (IPDJ), Leonel Ferreira,   Head of the Working Group for Inclusion and adapted sports, Gonçalo Ferreira,  Technician of CACI Sobrosa,  Glória Salgado,  CLDS 4G Coordinator  and João Costa, Environment Department.  The second part will be devoted to the interventions of GEOLAB Project Managers, Chiara Spinato and Rossella Moia, and to the experiences of the Street Coaches from Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy, Portugal and Slovenia.  Paulo Eusebio, from the Municipality of Paredes, will close the seminar day.

 

 

December 3rd will be the day of the “RARE – Race Against Racism Event”, part of the “Livre de Ser Saudavel” March of Solidarity and Inclusion, organized by the Municipality of Paredes. Starting at 10:00 a.m., the initiative aims to encourage physical practice, promote the inclusion of people at all levels of ability and all age groups and collect food to distribute to the neediest families.
